About Us
Hello Everyone!
For those of you who have not yet met me, my name is Cathy and I live 30 minutes north of Sacramento CA. I have two danes, Roxette and Aspen, and a Himalayan Cat named Sable.
I strongly encourage rescuing animals. As Sable and Aspen are both rescues. I love practicing Obedience with Aspen and watching Sable rule the house. Roxette is my very first show Dane so we frequently attend weekly handling classes. So far my experience showing Danes has been a wonderful one thanks to Kathleen Davis. She is Roxette's breeder and most importantly my mentor. I went to her in 2005 in search for a companion puppy and during my frequent meet ups with her at local shows I quickly became intrigued with showing my future Dane.
About one year later during Aug 2005 Roxette was born. It was an instant match after meeting Roxette as a puppy. I remember her very first show in Vallejo with Diane as a handler. It was so cute. She swore the judge wanted to be her play mate so as the judge approached she wagged her tail in excitement and tilted her pink nose in curiousity. Diane, the pro that she is, calmed her down and finished the 6 month puppy class with her.
Even though I was fond of Roxetty she was the pick bitch of her litter and still belonged to Kathleen. As time past, Kathleen then decided to co-own her with me. This was HUGE!!! I was so ecstatic.
Since then my enthusiasm for the breed keeps growing and my goal as an owner handler is being accomplished.
Thank you Kathleen for giving me the opportunity to love and show this wonderful girl! Thank you Diane and Allison for always willing to help handle Roxette. It's hard for us newbies to do it on our own :).
