About Us
Hello Everyone!
For those of you who have not yet met me, my name is Cathy and I live 30 minutes north of Sacramento CA. I have two danes, Roxette and Aspen. Aspen was my very first Great Dane and her personality is why I fell in love with the breed. I rescued her when she was 2 1/2 years old in Oct. 2003.
I strongly encourage rescuing animals. As Sable (my deceased kitty ) and Aspen were both rescues. I love practicing Obedience with Aspen and attending AKC conformation shows. Roxette was my very first show Dane so while she showed we frequently attended weekly handling classes. So far my experience showing Danes has been a wonderful one thanks to Kathleen Davis, Diane Collings, and Dr. Allison Paxton. Kathleen Davis is Roxette's breeder and most importantly my mentor. I went to her in early 2005 in search for a companion puppy and during my frequent meet ups with her at local shows I became hooked to showing Great Danes.
I became involved in attending Great Dane meetings with the Monterey Great Dane Club. My enthusiasm and knowledge for the breed keeps growing and my goal as an owner handler is being accomplished.
Since Roxette completed her AKC championship title and has completed her health testing. She is now a wonderful mommy! Everyday is a fantastic experience with her and babies and everyday I keep expanding my knowledge about Danes. This will be a terrific new journey for me and Sonny and luckily we have the Ladies (Kathleen, Diane, Allison, and Lucretia) to assist us through the process.
